Y GIlfach means 'The Hideaway' and indeed, it does what it says on the tin! 'Y Gilfach' is approached from the courtyard of Bryn Melyn Farm via a covered pathway to the communal garden . Once you step inside this wonderfully cosy cottage, you could be in another world. Especially so as you enjoy the incredible view from your own private balcony off the day room on the first floor.
Off the hallway on the ground floor you will find the snug/dining room which leads through to the Shaker style kitchen via a tongue and groove latched door, reminiscent of the barns' original use..The dining table seats up to 5 adults as does the snug which includes a single sofa bed.
The kitchen has everything you might need for a relaxing holiday to include a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer,ceramic hob and electric oven..
Both rooms overlook the glorious communal garden with its panoramic view of the Upper Dee Valley and your own private patio from where you can soak it all up on the garden furniture with BBQ provided on request..
On the first floor, there is a cosy and romantic double bedroom, a bathroom with a power shower over the bath and a day room/2nd bedroom with small double and 2 easy chairs.From here, you have an incredible view over the Upper Dee Valley which you can enjoy from your own Juliet balcony.
Once outside the cottage, you have full use of all the onsite facilites offerd at Bryn Melyn Farm, the numerous activities in the immediate area and the abundant activities in the Snowdonia National Park.What are you waiting for?!
Bryn Melyn also has an indoor games room in which you can play:
