Local AreaLlandderfel is a small village on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, convenient for a multitude of pleasurable activities to suit all ages and varying interests. Within Snowdonia and its environs there are many areas of outstanding natural beauty.
For the mountain lovers amongst you, there is Cader Idris, the Berwyn Mountains,the Aran and the Arenig, not to mention Snowdon itself.
For those of you who enjoy being near the water, either to relax or to participate in watersports, you have Llyn Tegid in Bala, Lake Vyrnwy and Tryweryn.
If you enjoy music and the performing arts in general, why not visit the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen in July, or, the National Eisteddfod of Wales which in 2009, takes place in Bala, and of course, the annual Sesiwn Fawr Dolgellau which takes place in August.
Further afield, you could also visit Portmeirion, the Italian style village used in the TV series ‘The Prisoner’, the beaches around Porthmadog or the Blue Flag Beach at Barmouth, not to mention the Slate and Copper Mines and other activities too numerous to mention here.
